Even though they didn't tell anyone they were dating at first, they revealed their relationship in 2019 and announced their engagement the next year. At first, they were going to have a big wedding party in France. 

But when COVID-19 spread around the world, they had to make big changes. Due to the pandemic, they decided to have a small wedding at their Georgia home in 2021.

In an interview with Vogue in April 2021, Jeannie Mai said, "We were really looking forward to having all of our friends and family there to party. 

But because of COVID, we had to change all of our wedding plans. We quickly learned that life is too short when Jeezy's mother died suddenly. 

At the end of the day, all Jeezy and I really wanted was to get married. So, we turned our original wedding into a small ceremony where only our closest family and a few close friends could attend.

Their love story kept getting better, and at the start of 2022, they had their first child. 

Jeannie Mai shared the happy news on Instagram, saying, "I asked God for a life full of love and happiness. My family came to me. Here comes Baby Jenkins."
