The Giants think Simmons will be at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center soon, just a day before the final preseason game against the New York Jets. The first game of the season is on September 10 against the Dallas Cowboys, and the team can't wait to see Simmons play.

Familiar Faces and a Shiny College Future

Simmons won't have to meet a lot of new people in New York. 

In Arizona, he worked out with the star running back for the Giants, Saquon Barkley, and the wide receiver for the Giants, Isaiah Hodgins. 

Simmons and Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence also know each other from their time at Clemson, where they both had great college careers and won a national title.

He was also the sixth player in Clemson's history to be named an All-American by everyone.

Coach Daboll says, "That's why he was picked where he was picked. Again, when he gets here, we'll look at him and start teaching him our stuff, but we're happy to have him."
